Look at these jewels of American Entertainment.

Ha ha ha hahahahaha.

Feels great to have the first big hurdle of the year out of the way. Now on to the next things due right around the corner.

Are you actually posting all of them?

Yes, I'm posting all of them.

These are thumbnails for my Conceptual Illustration class. I'm not so fond of the majority of them, but there are a handful that might work, which is really all that matters. And now here's that backstory I promised you all.

Panini (Cinderella) is a young chef prodigy who's only dream is to travel the land and spread wholesome food to all the people ailing from the unhealthy fast food provided by her stepmother's restaurant. Her stepmother Madame Fry objects and orders her to join the family business to create new and more addicting recipes. Panini refuses and leaves home, vowing to throw down the fast food chain and end her stepmother's reign over the food industry. The "Batter Royale", the cook-off that decides the Grand Master Chef, is coming up in 12 days. Panini decides make her away across the country, building herself a team of chefs so they might compete in it and win the ultimate Pan. With that pan, Panini can challenge Madame Fry to a cook-off and show her what cooking is really about.

In the end, of course, Panini wins and her stepmother realizes that there might be good business in healthy food so they start a new restaurant dedicated to wholesome meals.

But that's besides the point. I've got to design this as if it were a game, so there's going to be a fair amount of work going on here.

I can't wait till I can actually draw the environments, thumbnail aren't exactly helpful at the moment since I don't know the layout of the 'stage'. I hope I'll have a chance to do that sometime this week; it's been a really busy quarter already with animation, senior films, and this concept class. Once this quarter's all over though, it will have been worth all the hair pulling out.

That's all for now!

So there's school again.

I know, right? Fun stuff.

So many exciting things this quarter. So tempted to juggle some dangerous things, metaphorical knives and cannonballs. I might.... I might just do it. It just kills me to turn down opportunities. The only problem is that I might be spreading myself too thin.

Anyways, I'm on the brink of finishing the storyboards for Hell Unleashed, and once I've done that, I should have just a wee bit more time to do layouts for another film.

In other news, taking one of the most hardcore classes of yet for me, a little something called Conceptual Illustration. It's going to be an awesome class, I can already tell, and my professor cuts to the chase which is very refreshing. By Tuesday, I will have a crap-ton of environment thumbnails that I will drop off for you guys. It's gonna be biblical.

The story is a spin off of an idea I had come up with last quarter, "The Pans", but with major changes. I've cut out all the stuff that didn't work and I'm moving it to a new corner as something separate (ie. the witches and the hair and the magic) and now I've got a nice, bubbling pot-full of something very different but no less fun.

Mysterious right? I'll spell it out next entry once I've got the thumbs ready for you all.

For now, here's a little experiment I did in photoshop, don't take it too seriously.
